The cape honeysuckle is in bloom,
In a fiery orange show.
I can see bees and butterflies from my room,
And hummingbirds as the morning grows.
Around the honeysuckle they congregate,
Working busily all day.
They share the sustenance, and share their fate,
And by early evening each go their way.
