Capital Case

SOMEBODY
who suddenly became
somebody he wasn't,
was still
largely SOMEBODY.

To whom he'd suddenly become
he'd apply
a lot
of what
had made him a capital case.

A lot of that
was whom he could buy.
His dealing with whom he couldn't
would become
the fascination of the guy.
