Capo, Third Fret - Poem by Sean Furlong

I've fallen in love
with a capo on the third fret
Now I just need lyrics
and I'll be all set

Hypnotic notes
combined to please
Strumming the strings
with a newfound ease

Oh capo on third fret
do lead me to pleasure
cause on you one can bet
there'll be smiles beyond measure

Each day I'll rediscover you
like a treasure of great riches
One day I'll write a song too
dedicated with perfect pitches

So until I wake to the morning sun
I'll leave the capo over the strings
Burying the treasure is all now done
Tomorrow I'll uncover a guitar that sings
the lyrics of a universal language
maybe even something more
It's almost like an adventure
where I'll see what else is in store.
