Car Clashes Poem by Evette Morales

Car Clashes

The thought makes me sick
Like the clock and its tick
The sound of bones cracking
The scream overlapping

The crash that should have killed you
But you survived
Through and Through
Maybe that's why I love you
Or the after thought of hate, too

A second time comes along
Then a third
A voice you heard
A change came that day
And you were never the same

The thought still taunts me
The scars that haunt you
But either way
You are my mother
So I love you more everyday...
