Carlton Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Carlton

Carlton, car, carl, ton, not, on, to, no, tar, rat, art, ant, tan, an, at, cart, cat, can, oar;
Muse, life, joy, peace!
With expectations,
But, the world today plunges into wars than with the muse of unity and peace.

Obligations!
With hatred than love on this earth today;
Pin, pinch!
With the hearts of mankind boiled up like power plants and thermals.

Men, menace!
Killed for ritual purposes;
And, coloured by people's political preferences,
As mankind destroys his or her neighbour on this ewarth today in the name of hatred and war.
