Carry On (Song That Will Be On My Solo Album) - Poem by Lance Carthen

When the saddest song is played...
will you cry or walk away?
Will someone be there to see the tears...
or will you keep them locked away.
Carry on...
Carry on..
Carry on...
Through your heart.
When the day falls into the night and you sit there all alone.
Will you debate about your life or smoke until your stoned.
No stitch can heal a broken heart when time has let you go.
What hurts the most in not pain but the sadness in your soul.
Carry on...
Carry on...
Carry on...
Through your heart.
Distant memories have got you feeling old, lost and blue.
Storm rages, contemplation, cant decide what to do.
Her last words, like a curse, running through his veins.
I'll pray our memories forever to haunt you till the end of your days.
Carry on...
Carry on...
Carry on...
Through your heart.
