The cat is your pet and,
The bird is my pet;
But your cat came and killed my bird!
And, that is how this world is today;
Because, many things are wrongly done among us always! !

This one got me confused is 'id' meant to be 'ends' (And, that is how this world id today ;) ? I've myself have made these kind of mistakes multiple times myself, and sometimes it easier fill in the blanks then others.
