Catching Dubai Poem by Pushpinder Kaur

Catching Dubai

Catching Dubai

Catching Dubai in the
early of hours of the morning
is a blessing
when, after the simmering heat for
Half the year…
Comes October, with a whiff
Of coolness in the days.

The sighting of the sunrise
across the City skyline is
Heavenly-
The unruffled waters of the Dubai Creek,
slowly catching the early morning hues, shimmer
As the early rays
render the Burj
serenely ablaze…

The changing skyline grabs different shades
of the early rays
The skylarks swirling upon the Creek
Some early risers bidding for good health
Some spreading their fishlines to
catch the early prey…

The Creek is an
ever-fascinating resort,
That never diminishes to make
Offerings new.
