Caution To The Wind Poem by Sven Rhoads

Caution To The Wind

It's time to make a stand
Decision of definition is at hand
My sails are set for the open sea
Now it's time to see where it takes me

By the blood in my heart
I know what I'm longing for
Cut my way through the dark
Cause my mind is made, leave the shore

As the river turns to the ocean
In my throat are words unspoken
Actions will speak all out loud
Under starry night and thunder clouds

Here I go on the road no one goes
I chose this way by compass within
Impossible, I can hear them all day
So I throw caution to the wind
Full moon sets the course on sky
Destination won't come by morning light
Crazy as they claim I just may be
So I close my eyes and drift away

Will I return as the dream
Will she greet me once more
As the stars dot the oceans gleam
There's no going back to the shore

I can't live the untrue life
Take my chance, throw caution to the wind

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Investing so much time tests ones true loyalty and devotion. After all these years I can't turn back now. I will see this through.
