Embody The Night Poem by Sven Rhoads

Embody The Night

She appears inside the walls of sleep
Through the catacombs I track her voice
Pulled by her smiles gravity
I pierce the ever darkening void
She calls out in a sirens song
Echoes reach every corner inside
Like the Hunter who must chase its prey
It is a mission I must abide

Like stars to guide the way
You are a beauty unbound
Like the moon up on high
You embody the night
My eyes just can't look away
You're everywhere that surrounds
My mind won't forget, will not deny
You're worth the whole fight

She is in every gust of wind
Speaking to me 'catch me if you can'
Cloaked in pitch black camouflage
Chasing after what is within
She runs into the great unknown
Where tomorrow will lay in wait
One day when the sun returns
We will be face to face

I will tread through dark
Follow the beat of your heart
Flow like the might of the stream
Soon it won't be just a dream
