Cave Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Cave

Rating: 3.5

Cave

My heart was a cave that no one was invited to.
I loved the darkness within.
I shunned the ones around me.
I walked in silence.

Silence was a welcome friend.
Silence made all well.
It was the silence where my heart would dwell.
It made all things fine and well.

My heart was a cave and would remain the same.
No one tried to change it.
No one played that game.
It rode in silence by itself.

My heart was a cave that no one was invited to.
I loved the darkness within.
I shunned ones around me.
I walked in silence you see.
