Celebrate The Day Poem by Susan LeGree

Celebrate The Day

Rating: 5.0

The morning sun struggled
through the darkness of the night
to burn a pathway through
the heavy mist
She strained to see her beauty
reflected in the still waters;
until at last, the sky lightened.

As if celebrating her freedom
with a toss of confetti,
she then spread a handful
of diamonds across the
surface of the pond

I'm enjoying reading your work, but this one really tickled my fancy. I love this type of imagery, though that may surprise people that have actually made it to the end of my own work. Hey, I can have a sensitive side too!
