Central Serous Retinopathy Poem by Marcus McKinley

Central Serous Retinopathy

In front of a mirror
A reflection I see
But, I cannot tell if
That reflection is me

Objects in view are
Closer then they appear
I am now +1 far sighted
When I used to be -0.25 near

A perfect straight line
I know it is straight
I look through one eye
And a wave it does make

My perfect color vision
A shade darker or two
Caused by the fluid
That I now see through

After sunset
no more night vision
no more night driving
I’ll avoid that collision

They say,8 to 10 months
For my eye to recover
It’s been 2 months for the right
And now they discover

1 week in the left
so the laser I’ll endeavor
Then five days in darkness
Which seems like forever

Once I am done
I will once more see clearer
I just wanted to say,

Thanks, Dr. Lehmer

We know oxes are colour-blind, their vision system is such by nature. Such as parrot see all the objects as red, their system is such by nature. Our poet Rabindranath Tagore wrote, Panna (a jewellary stone) is green and Chuni (also a jewellary stone) is colourful due to the colour of my consciouness. I told these to tell, what we see by our eyes that due to our vision-system activated by nature. It does not mean the object looks really like this. It can be different from other vision-system. So when you would be able to see clearer, that clearness also could be questioned. Well written poet. Thank you. Wish you a clearer vision soon.10/10. Regards, pranab
