Cesium-Beam Frequency Standard Poem by J Sheba Anandhi

There is something in this world
That is based on cesium-beam frequency standard,
The standard is used to accurately measure
This something that is constant, altho out of the world
The constancy changes, it would appear
To be different based on our levels of pressure,
It would seem to be slow when you wait,
Being held back, you would feel like you are the bait,
This would desperately be very long,
When you feel your boredom is continuing to prolong,
When you are helplessly late
This would be fast as if predetermined by fate,
You wouldn't like this when you are sad,
You would want to change this when you are mad,
This would be short when you are glad,
You would want to make proper use of this, if you had,
This would be endless when you are in pain,
Once this is lost there is no way for anyone to ever gain,
This is what we call as ‘time',
For none waits, tide and time.
