Chair Poem by Ben Gieske

Chair

Rating: 2.7

Who would think
that a chair could be so human
with arms to hold
and legs so bold

presiding at the head of a table
not refusing anyone a seat,
lawyer, bridesmaid, immigrant,
gambler, gossiper, student,
even providing a back,
quite a human feat.

If only they weren’t four legged creatures.
They have so many other grand features.
