Chameleon - Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Chameleon colours show
Hiding emotions glow
Protecting from the world outside
Encased in this shell they hide
Mystery an accomplice
Darkness the deterrent
Emotionally a torrent
Never abhorrent
Secrets behind the chameleon skin
Try as you might, you cannot come in
