Champion Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Champion

Champion

Like those days
(High school)
‘Never bow to bully’
‘Instead fight them well’

Then I fought with Vien
(On the street, in blood)
(Like lion)

I fought pain
‘You bastard’
I said and lifted that as a hay
Then smashed to the ground
And stood strong
As Ali in boxing
(Champion)

Never plea
Face bullies
(Pain is one)
Life or death
That’s success
