Chances Poem by Ashley Measimer

Chances

I can't believe I'm saying this,
But I'm just saying what's in my head.
And through it all, I still don't know
If I can trust you again.

Living with a broken heart
Can be quite an ugly thing.
You did it once,
You did it twice,
Now will you do it again?

I have my reasons to trust you,
And I have my reasons not to,
But now its time to calculate
Do the benefits outweigh the risks?

You've had many chances,
and I can guarantee this will be your last.
I don't know if its right for me,
but third time's the charm, right?
