Cheater Poem by michael Smajda

Cheater

Whenever I hear the words "I love you, "
I don't believe what you say is true.
I just saw you at the market.
I saw you kissing someone new.

How long have you known this woman?
Have you told you loved her, too?
Did you promise her a ring, also?
And if you did, then, we are thru.

I won't stand for all your lying.
For faithfulness to me is due.
When I love someone, I mean it.
I expect the same even from you.
