Cheers And Tears Poem by Juan Olivarez

Cheers And Tears

Even God is crying today.
The clouds are pouring rain.
Everybody is sad you've gone away,
But glad there's no more pain.

It's funny, when we come,
Into this world they cheer.
And when we leave all but some,
Are totally consumed by tears.

We come to suffer, here on Earth,
Yet no one seems to care.
Everybody is happy with new birth,
That doesn't seem quite fair.

And when we leave to go back home,
Everybody cries their tears.
They should be happy that we've flown,
Cause now there's nothing left to fear.
