From the heart of a maiden
to her beloved sweetheart.

Tears may fall when you are near
because you're so kind to me...
our conversation is always dear
'chemistry-science-divinity.

At the college, I have enrolled
hoping to spend my hours with you.
I signed above the dotted line
on college paper, coloured blue.

My maiden name I willingly gave
but what else could I do?
Our wedding is not until tomorrow,
Bells will chime at half-past-two.

We'll learn our subjects, have no fear,
'chemistry-science-divinity'
conversation will bring us cheer.
