Children Of The Night Poem by RaShawn Ince

Children Of The Night

When the day is gone and night time appears,
Sad little boys and girls come out in tears.
Holding raggedy dolls in tore up clothes.
Loving one another that’s all they know.
Because times get hard when no one is there.
No one to hold them and tell them they care.
Nobody to talk to or help them out.
No one who cares or knows what they’re about.
But sometimes the night is all that you need.
Living a life with no such thing as greed
Living a life that’s close to being free.
Cleared of the blindness so now they can see.
Living in the dark brightened by moonlight.
Helping each other, children of the night.
