Chinook



Chinook

I saw her with puppy
-both of them seemed happy.

As always traveled
-to my past and village.

Daddy called me by name
-explained, gave address:
- "Saddle up and go there,
-for yourself can select."

Was fun and difficult
-I thought of "Being a man! "

Met shepherd; was around,
-and aware, so, we talked.

Showed me the herds of goats
-all small, without horns.

Four for me was approved
-I found my new job…
-like this girl and her dog.

Had to see after them
-teach, train, help them learn.

I led them to the barn
-gave them food, of all kinds
-they became playful
-ran, returned to touch me
-it was joy, innocence
-added to pleasure;
-made me self-sufficient.

Poor puppy wore something
-large conic plastic.

Thought of girl, possibly
-not yet reached early teens
-holding leash and the bar
- (chocolate, very dark.)

Both seemed to have fun but…
