Chisholm Trail Excitement - Poem by Marilyn Lott

It’s time once again, folks
To live out under the sky
To rough it on the Chisholm Trail
Never done it? Well, it’s time to try

It’s the perfect opportunity
In a different time in history
A hundred years back in the past
And you can do it so creatively

The kids too experience life
In an entirely different way
You can test your durability
Perhaps an era you’d like to stay

It’s so fun to wear the costumes
That folks wore back in those days
And talk and live and eat
The old fashioned kind of way

It’s a fun-filled experience
To smell food so very fragrant
As it smokes upon a campfire
During the Chisholm Trail excitement
