Choices Poem by BEN EROMOBOR

Choices

Quietly i dedicate my life to chances and time
With God i squeeze out lemonade from my chosen lime
Prejudice seeks to cease the flow of my rhyme
but to life's music i'll always do mime

Whatever life shows you, see for yourself
Whatever its options, pick by yourself
Wherever it leads, go by yourself
Life is a choice, choose but for yourself

Sinking sands drown, saddened clowns frown
Tender gazelles move with even tougher fawns
Royalty wears a crown, skin might be white or brown
Always choose good, it never keeps you down

Minds are directed on what to choose
Thoughts aren't pregnant without our clues
We are only but products of what we choose
Greatness is defined only by the paths we use.

You're right. We should make wise choices, and we can only choose for ourselves, not for others. This is your first poem posted on this website. Welcome to Poem Hunter!

Beautiful philosophical piece of poetry, insightfully brought forth in good rhyme scheme with conviction. Lovely rendition of words to utmost justice. Awesome! Thanks for sharing Ben. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
