Chords Poem by Edwina Reizer

Chords

Do you notice how many minor chords I play?
They fit the mood I'm in.
Once in a while a major chord
Will change the mood I'm in.
Oh for that 3rd to make its way
Into my heart without warning
Is sometimes too much for my body
which is raging and storming.

How can one half step affect me?
There is no answer to that.
My fingers just fall on it naturally.
They know exactly where they're at.
Kiss me love and raise that 3rd.
Hold me while it sustains.
Kiss me love and raise that 3rd
and my euphoria remains.
