Christine Chen The Sound Poem by Kevin Wang

Christine Chen The Sound

listening to these chimes
I’d hear her name
Sounding different yet the same
Thinking for my heart to become lame

Listening to the ebb of the flow
It seems to be ever so slow
But enticing to dance some more
As each step of the core

Relaxing the grip
The neck so tender
Closing your eyes
And listen to its serenade to you

Letting it grab you close
As its music raises a toast
There’s always was something more
Than what she could do
Than what she is
Than only to be
A daughter, a sister, a musician
Christine Chen the Sound
