Christmas Sound Poem by Emma Mcullough

Christmas Sound

Rating: 5.0

Christmas cheer spreads in all you hear
The Church bells toll in ringing peals
The songs shine out, high and soft in every ear
And most joyous of all—the words that heal

The words of love and tender care
That are whispered in the tree's glittering glow
Sounds of mother's bedtime kisses linger in the air
Children rustle into bed and dream of softly falling snow

And all the while Heaven's angels sing
Peace on earth and joy rebounds
Let Israel rejoice and earth receive her king
Christmas time—time of joyous sound!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

A brilliant tribute to the sacred sounds of Christmas! There is nothing like the pure beauty and sheer joy of those holiday anthems--whether the rustle of warm blankets or angel's hymns! Very well written Emma!
