Glad Dragonflies Poem by Emma Mcullough

Glad Dragonflies

Rating: 5.0

With little fluttering wings they dance on the breeze,
In a cheerful little waltz they cling to the wind at ease.
Under tree and over sparkling water they play where they please,
And delight themselves in simple pleasures and tiny glees.
What a fun life it would be to have the innocence of one of these,
The little dragons of their pond, to them happiness's shining seas.

What a sweet, lovely, and beautiful poem Emma! Excellent rhymes! I love these poems about nature! I wish I could be a dragonfly like one of those in your poem, living a simple but wonderful and innocent life. But after all, that is what Heaven will be for : )
