Church Upon The Rock Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Church Upon The Rock

Rating: 5.0

I did not view the steeple
I did not join the people
I passed within no wondrous papal hall...
humanity constructed corrupted cathedral

I crossed not thirst sermon threshold...
I crossed not in privilege shadow vaulted...
I passed not within intrigues confines...
Borgia sanctified holy writ; Roman arch bleeds mysteries

Nor stepped I upon sacred
fresh stained hallowed ground
by halo on the mount account...
was I host divinity; bound constant
