Circle Poem by Carla Pickens

Circle

in my circle of wilderness...
the silence of everything but the birds,
singing in the echo of the trees
The trees giggle and sashay
dancing all around
Oh sun, my universe, where are you
You shine bright with only a 'patch' of light
I see you, but do you see me?
in my circle of wilderness (delusions)
Then, suddenly the faceless dancer tickles my cheek
bringing a feeling of existance and peace...
I am here

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This morning I sat among the trees and the breeze and conjured up this little poem, I love sitting in the woods on a breezy day and 'listening' to the trees 'sashay'. The feeling of one with nature and the universe, The power of the wind and the gentle tune of the songbird, the awesomeness of life and living.
