Mourning Poem by Carla Pickens

Mourning

Voice of sorrow
I hear your pain
Your eyes are heavy
Your lips are strained
How do I comfort thee
When all is lost
What should I say
As you bear this cross
I hang my head in distant view
And hope you can forgive me too
