Circles Poem by Timothy Lee Hollandsworth Jr.

Circles

Rating: 4.0

Tripping over the sand dunes
Lost in the tides of time
Not sure what is being looked for
Though, when it is found, one would know for sure
Wandering, hoping for a sign
Falling into the sands of time

Certainly the rivers and mountains have all been seen
The forests and the trees provide no intrigue
The ruins of the past tell the same stories lived out today
The world never ceases in it's constant dizzying spin
Along for the ride, never to know when it ends
Trapped without anywhere to go
Only because you've been there before

Grains of sand eat up the flesh
Aimlessly traveling without rest
Hunger and thirst never to be quelled
Satisfaction never to be held
Blown away in the wind
Hoping to not see this place again
But knowing you will return
