Close This Short Chapter With Love

Take the best day you have had
And try cramming it into sixteen years.
You will come to realize
That the time you spent
Saving all those hours
Falls on deaf ears.
And the time you spent running
You could have walked along side
The one that you love
Yet, still, you hide.
I love you, you fool.
Quit trying to save
And nurture
What is soon
To leave
With no disguise.
Fragments of Gold
Never put on the finger
Of the loved one
Who didn't seek
An impression
From you.
All she asked
All she ever wanted
Is her happiness
To shine on you, too.
A message of love
She leaves behind,
She knows
You,
My crazy twin
Have not gotten there yet.
But damn,
I am glad,
We rode
A couple chapters together.
