Closed Poem by Matthew Baughman

i’ve lost all compassion
all feeling of hope
ill give into despair
these feeling, I won’t
try to come out
of this hole i’m in
I like it by myself
I wont try to begin
to start all over
with a brand new day
cuase to tell the truth
its better this way
no one gets angry
no one gets hurt
i’ll take from no one
and no one deserves
to be treated by me
the way that i do
cuase it must be dirt

and I feel like
o well, what does
it matter anyway
if I try or I say
it bites me back
right in the butt always
so i’ll shut my mouth
reel tight and right closed
so I wont get in anyones way
for now and always
