Closing Years - Poem by Wilfred William Frary

What has happened to this world
So full of greed and shame
For all that is happening now
We must take some of the blame

Yes slow to stop the impact
On us all around
We must take a fresh look
As we work and toil

Do we feed our children
With the dross thats thrown around
Or do we dice with quicksands
Or stand on solid ground

Now is the time I beg you
To make another start
Bring them up the way you should
Before they break your heart

For Jesus is the answer
For all your needs just now
Turn around and clean the soil
For new seed to grow.
