'Coining' Before 'selfying' Poem by Douglas Scotney
'Coining' Before 'selfying'
The first coined word I thought of
since I thought
that coining a word
made that word a coin,
was 'selfie'.
It being first,
I thought
it could default to 'coin',
and 'taking one' to 'coining'.
It's a change I know quite bold,
but change now
before 'selfying' takes hold.
