Cold Cuts Poem by Macs Stein

Cold Cuts

Rating: 5.0

the cold cuts
the wind takes the feeling from my flesh
a shell of ice contains a core of warmth
i cant feel my face but i know i smile
as you heat the air around me
i make an excuse to hold you
“huddle for warmth, ” i say
i’ve never been so hot in my life
