Colors - Poem by Shawna V. Cook

If I had to choose a color to tell you how I feel, I'd
paint the colors on a pallet then put it on a
wheel. Everyday is different like someone spun it
hard; everydays a mystery, I never know what they
are. Today it may be red, that means I'm mad at
you; tomorrow I may be sad so you know it's going to be
blue. Yellow is a good day, my spirit is shinning
through, orange is somewhat confusing, the walk around
In my head tells me I don't know what to do. Now pink
is a color that makes me feel young, like a child of
ten, it brings me back as a little girl playing
hopscotch with my friends. I look at black as a
darkside a place I don't want to be, cause when I'm in
the mood of black no one can talk to me. I like to stay
neutral, calm, cool and collected, but with my life the
way it is, there's nothing to be expected.
