Colourful Tranquility Poem by DM W

Colourful Tranquility

A most pleasant afternoon by the water's edge:
Reading a book and sometimes simply observing
The foliage's softness and the rippling river:
Such colourful tranquility...such indolence!
How I wish all aspects of fleeting time could be
Condensed into these precious moments of wonder.
Then perhaps their brief rareness could last forever.
O sometimes it's so marvellous to be alive!
