Colours Poem by Nom Nom Nom

I see the colours through my eyes
I feel the pain when someone cries
I know the smile when it shows up on your face
I recongize the unknown place

I touch the surface to breath once more
I have walked out that same door
I see the sky as blue as day
I wished the rain would go away
I fed the kittens down the street
I remember feeling so complete

I understood what happened then, and know it wouldn't change
I remember how everything felt so strange
I couldn't fix anything, and have to live with it
but it's different, hard even, I must admit
I see the sun and feel it's warm heat
I listened to his slow heart beat
I watched the time every day
but I still couldn't push the pain anyway

I added colour to help remember
but it didn't make anything simplier
I listened and obeyed once more
but nothing will go back to how it was before
I am happy for now
I dropped everything that bugged me on the floor without knowing how

Summer came to me
saving me from what someone else wanted me to be
I craved for the warm heat
I listened to my own heart beat
and it skipped when I saw you
all the things people said became untrue
I knew I would be all right
I slept perfectly that one night
I felt everything inside smile
because I knew I wouldn't feel empty for awhile

but it hit me hard, I cried for days
I still listened like always
but I felt my insides die
I couldn't remember if I said goodbye
I saw more cuts, I made them with my blade
I felt betrayed
