Dear God Poem by Nom Nom Nom

I went into the church and started to pray
only because I thought today was the day
God told me to come; to say my sorry's
but I knew there was no more worries
God was my friend; someone to trust
I have to listen and stay focused

Dear god; how do I start?
where is the love in people's hearts?
I go around and notice people frown
what could be so bad that has brought them down?
the boy over there; inhaling the smoke
the girl waiting for the bus; hurting as her heart broke
when everyone around me is hurting; deep down crying
wishing they weren't suffering; dying
I wonder how do they wake up? Do they smile?
or do they cry; waiting for it to go away for awhile
all they want is a break God; but you keep filling their plate
they aren't hungry anymore; the tears they create
run down their cheeks; they're sad; are you blind?
their happiness they can not find
Thank you for listening to me God; goodbye
