Come Back - Poem by Shamik Kumar Bose

Come back - you naughty bird
Fall like drops of honey
The air is very tight - breath has lost freedom
Come back with salts of ocean

The lamp now lies; its glow bites
I now search for another light
Come back with stars on your wings
The darkness is very tight - light has lost freedom

Now sands on beach are very dry
The moonlights do not play any more
Come back with mighty waves
Wings propell in foams

That orphan plays alone in a street
A fat girl desires deep
The spider hides again inside stars
Come back with love

A plastic smile now wins
Wisdom covered in boredom
Arrogance gets only fragrance
Come back with modesty

World is divided by money
We all have lost our freedom
Now we run only after riches
Come back with wisdom
