Come Hither Poem by Madhabi Banerjee

Come Hither

When I stand on the bank of the river in a moonlit night
Sitting on the top of the tree
The moon convokes
‘Come hither’
When I stand on the bank of the river in midnight
Through the smoke of burning place
Heaven convokes ‘come hither’
When I go to the immersion ceremony
The ferrymen convoke ‘come hither
Let’s start for hoisting a sail elsewhere.
