Legal Dissolution Of A Marriage Poem by Madhabi Banerjee

Legal Dissolution Of A Marriage

Rating: 5.0

It was a complicated matrimonial case
They had arranged a divorce suit
Father and mother had decided to live separately.
To win the divorce case the lawyers of both side
Were tried their best.
Father said "whatever may be, I would have to win,
Over all I am a man indeed."
Mother said "Defeat! No way,
Society time and days are changing now.
It is the time for woman liberation".
A child of ten years old was strolling hither to thither.
They had no headache to the child's concern.
As this child was the root of all discord.
For him divorce case had become complicated
And both the father and mother had to face hard troubles and sufferings.
But
If they can abandon their ego a little bit each other
They won't have any trouble to take.

dis- prefix a Latin prefix meaning “apart, ” “asunder, ” “away, ” “utterly, ” or having a privative, negative, or reversing force solution: noun 1. a means of solving a problem or dealing with a difficult situation so Dissolution would be (i guess) 'breaking apart to solve a problem', the problem being in 'their' marriage. i've had 3 such problems, and 3 divorces. the police frown upon murder (of husbands OR wives) . An intriguing poem about divorce.' This child was the root of all discord'. That is surprising, but quite possible. I think women's liberation can be excessive, so that men are actually disadvantaged-in my country.

Court will not give justice to anyone, it will pass a judgement based on the facts that who is in a better position to take care of the child. The most important aspect that is Emotional attachment remains as is with all three of them. A thought provoking poem..100+++++

In such legal cases, the loser is always the offsprings (Sons, Daughters and progeny emerging from the marriage) I see in your poem the EGO of a father to defeat the LOVE/CARE of a mother.

p.s. .....won't have any trouble to take. does this mean the couple will go home, together, happily? or, more likely, i think it means the divorce proceedings will go smoothly and the divorce will be granted quickly and be accommodating to both? i plan to use this poem when i put together my showcase (of poems by Indian subcontinent poets) for November. October 2018 's has just been completed and submitted. Thanks. bri ;)
