Come Home Old Granpa

Rating: 5.0

Lots of power cuts
in past two days
transformer burnt twice.
We've had many visitations
of infrequent guests
in the past couple of months.

ratzies and mousses running
playing hide and seek inside

Ah monkeys squatting on the side balcony.
squeezes fighting over food with pigeons
some birds for few grains.
butterflies and bees
hovering all over the garden.
slugs and lizards sneakily
coming, running and playing.

when it rains - it pours.
then it's sunny
it becomes
like a cosy oven.

many dogs on our street
some with masters
walking on evening strolls
few madly barking at pedestrians
for reasons unknown.
howling at night like welcoming
some mysterious presence.

few things are just the same
like the unknown sweeper
of the mornings
noisy garbage collector of the afternoons
lazy watchman of the nights

gates are opened f
or sweep sellers
garbage waste buyers
(kabadiwalas) .

other than that life is mundane
with echoes of melancholy

we are now living in natural environment
like in a zoo
becoming their ring master
food is in short supply
we have over stocked so it seems

Hahaha

just beautiful and lovely
all things are bright and beautiful
the once good Lord
then god made it all

come home grannnnpapppa
