Come My Son - Poem by Robbie Squires

I've seen the clouds
And ive seen the sun
But ive never seen nothing
That took away the gun
I've been on the highest highs
And through the lowest lows
But what can I say?
Ya can't win everyday
I guess thats the way life flows

A man got away with murder
Riding on horseback
And another man robbed a bank
And rode away the tracks
And the victims all felt hopeless
And the victims wanted to die
But come my son
And just put down the gun
Be thankful you're still alive

A policeman stopped a kid
From going on a spree
And 13 men were trapped
In the unforgiving sea
But the world will still revolve
With every problem still unsolved
Just live your life
However you want to do
When its time, there'll be no sign
It will come to you
