Come To The Valley (A Riddle To Solve) Poem by Rob Lamberton

Come To The Valley (A Riddle To Solve)

Rating: 5.0

Running right from the shell a startled flight for shelter hunted
Beloved prolific broods adapt well approached gently topknot
Unobtrusive entrance in my garden echoing mates call

Timber, snails and slugs do not echo their mates call unless it is a soundless echo of chemical pheromones. Hint: think of flight in the literal winged sense.

Rose Marie, I like the thought of this riddle referring to a snail. It was not the animal I had in mind but poems are like that. They assume different meanings to different people! Thanks for your wonderful answer!

An interesting, heavily wordy, piece! Truly well written! Is it perhaps a garden slug i.e. or a snail?
