There to light you up with smiles and hugs
Greetings of joy
There to comfort you and take you in when it seems there's no one else

Happiness is waking up really early and feeling alive
Watching the gentle brilliant sun rise
Feeling fresh and awake
Ready to pounce
Ready to jolt
Ready to take on the day

Happiness is that of grateful people
Who realize all they have and have been given
Thinkers who can appreciate all around them
And actively voice thanks

Happiness is of people
Who can do what they want without getting dragged down

Happiness is grand family gatherings and holidays
Delicate drifting snowflakes
Eggnog
Warm sweaters
Warm blankets
Love

Happiness is breathtaking scenery
Heartstopping scenes

Happiness is surprise
Thinking in positive light
Meeting those you don't expect

People and opportunities who've seem to come find you
Embracing the present
Confidence, ambition, passion
