Commercial Break - Poem by Shujaat Hussain

Commercial success of media
Does not suit to India
It can generate revenues
With irreparable erosion in values

Values are precious moral
Integral and eternal
While attraction and eroticism
Are baseless and fanaticism

News and views are at sale
Like flesh of prostitute
Morally degraded have certain fall
Their earnings just like brittle wall

Poets denounce prevalent culture
Poetry is the highest form of literature
Avoid sensation and propaganda
Condemn such hellish agenda
